Milky Way-like galaxies were common in early universe, find astronomers

A new study conducted by an international team of researchers, including scientists from The University of Manchester and University of Victoria, has found that disk galaxies, similar to our own Milky Way, are more common and formed earlier in the universe than previously thought.
